London Packaging Week 2024 was an undeniable success, and as we look back on the event, we at Allpack feel proud to have been a part of such a pivotal moment for the packaging industry. With over 190 exhibitors, thousands of visitors, and high-level discussions on the future of packaging, the event highlighted the progress and innovation driving our sector forward.
Celebrating 30 Years of Allpack with a Sustainable Twist
This year’s event was particularly special for us at Allpack, as we celebrated our 30th anniversary by launching a unique initiative that reflects our core values of sustainability and innovation. To mark the occasion, we introduced Sustainable Sam, our Eco-Champion Ambassador who captures our commitment to eco-friendly innovation. Available for the first time at the event, Sustainable Sam left a lasting impression on visitors who took home more than just a memento—they left with an instantly recognisable symbol of our efforts to make packing better through sustainability.
Visitors to our stand were not only drawn to Sustainable Sam but also engaged in memorable discussions with our team on sustainable packaging solutions. From material innovations to recycling initiatives, we were delighted to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration with industry peers.
Showcasing the Future of Sustainable Packaging
The Allpack stand at London Packaging Week 2024 showcased our full range of sustainable packaging options and our packaging innovations, offering a glimpse into the future of eco-conscious design. From all-paper pallet wrap to printed boxes and innovative pulp fitments, every product we presented demonstrated our dedication to reducing environmental impact without compromising on quality or performance.
We had the pleasure of discussing these products with many visitors, who were particularly interested in our pallet wrap solutions, designed to reduce plastic waste while maintaining durability. Our custom-printed boxes generated significant interest as brands increasingly look for ways to enhance their packaging’s visual appeal while keeping sustainability at the forefront. Finally, as outlined, our pulp fitments and all-paper tape and void fill solutions, crafted from renewable materials, showcased our forward-thinking approach to packaging design, offering a practical alternative to traditional plastics.
Industry Highlights: Innovation at the Forefront
London Packaging Week 2024 was a hub of innovation, with numerous exhibitors pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in packaging design. The event hosted lively discussions and thought-provoking panels, many of which centred on the role of sustainability in the industry’s future. Margaret Bates from Defra, engaged in a conversation with the Foodservice Packaging Association, debating whether regulation is stifling creativity in packaging. Their conclusion? The opposite. Innovation is thriving as companies adapt to evolving environmental regulations, a sentiment that aligns with our own experiences at Allpack.
Recognition and Achievement at the Innovation Awards
The 2024 London Packaging Week Innovation Awards also showcased the forward-thinking minds and groundbreaking designs in our industry. This year’s winners included Bowmore ARC-52 Mokume, the label-free Sprite Naked by Coca-Cola, and the Altra Box by Altra.
For us at Allpack, the awards were a powerful reminder of the importance of continuing to innovate and lead in sustainable packaging. We are proud to be a part of an industry that is not only adapting to global challenges but actively seeking out creative solutions to overcome them.
